Grants for the retail sector
CREA COMERCIO and EMPRENEM COMERÇ support different stages of a retail establishment. The first promotes modernisation and investment; the second supports certain start-up running costs where there is a new owner or a newly launched retail activity.

EMPRENEM COMERÇ
For certain running costs when taking over a shop or starting an activity in premises where an economic activity previously operated.

Has your shop been in the same premises for three years?
With the same owner and activity, that original opening will generally not qualify for EMPRENEM COMERÇ. If you plan an investment, CREA COMERCIO should be reviewed. An existing company may still consider EMPRENEM for another establishment that meets the conditions.
